Welcome! I'm Robert Smithson, and this is Renaissance Productions.

What is Renaissance Productions?

It's the home for my video, and other, content. Looking at finance, economics, technology, energy and politics around the world. Basically, it's stuff that I find interesting for one reason or another.

Broadly, my posts will fall under one of two categories: Robert Smithson's Trading Diary and Renaissance Productions. The former will be fairly short pieces and will tend to concentrate on finance and economics.

The latter category will be longer, more thoughtful, pieces.

Often there will be overlap between the two. So, I might do a Trading Diary Piece on why I am bearish on US natural gas prices, and a Renaissance Productions piece on how the power generation market works.
